June 2024 radio show on NTS
I host a monthly radio show on my favorite place for online (and on air) music discovery. Having this show over the past few years has meant a lot to me (I have no intention of slowing down or stopping. NTS will have to pry that shit from my dead, cold fingers). This month’s show was a break from the usual fiend recording / ambient / drone world and was a dive into some of my favorite jazz/jazz-adjacent tracks.
Listen via the NTS archive here
Tracklist:
Gary Bartz -Â Nommo: The Majick Song
Pharoah Sanders - Harvest Time
Dorothy Ashby -Â Jollity
Ahmad Jamal -Â Extensions (Live)
McCoy Tyner Trio -Â When Sunny Gets Blue
Salenta + Topu -Â I Have Met Miss Jones
Cecil Taylor -Â on Music as Life / Life as Music
Next radio show is July 1st <3 stay tuned, it is a good one.
A Reminder
I release long-form tracks (15-30 minutes) on my personal Bandcamp page for subscribers every month. Monthly fee is $7.50 USD and you get a new piece each month as well as my entire discography from the beginning til now. This subscription pays my rent at the studio I work out of on a daily basis as well as covers transportation costs on the days it is too hot to walk.

Recommendations
I have been listening (music and my surroundings), reading (so much shit), and speaking to friends a lot lately. Some things that spoke to me and could speak to you!
listen to Gretchen Korsmo’s recent album Silhouettes, Spires
listen to Felicia Atkinson’s older album La La La
read Clarice Lispector’s Agua Viva
speak to Your friends about the things they think about, that trouble you/them, the world you both exist in, and how to grow together amongst the chaos, wreckage, and brutality.
